Reserve punter will be of utmost importance early in the season as incumbent Neil Young tests his injured knee for the first time since undergoing season-ending surgery midway through last season.

2006: Appeared in four games, making five punts on the season ... was called on for short distance punts following Young’s injury versus Wofford ... punted twice in double-overtime win at Georgia Southern, averaging just 26.5 yards per punts, but pinning GSU inside its own 20 with both kicks ... three of his five punts on the campaign were inside the 20 ... was in on the tackle following his first collegiate punt versus Mars Hill.

2005: Redshirted.

High School: Passed for 1,500 yards as a senior season in addition to putting together a 43.7-yard punting average… named all-conference, all-county, all-area and all-Northwest as a quarterback in 2004 … rated by Scout.com as the No. 8 punter in the nation … coached by Mark Holcomb.

Personal: Full name is Adam Matthew Kassouf … born Sept. 10, 1987 (turns 20 during the season) … son of Jeff and Maria Kassouf ... majoring in health promotion.

Quinton Jackson had a very good spring and was competing for a starting job at cornerback. He may also return punts and kickoffs. He has played in 33 career games.

2006: He played in all 14 games and had 23 tackles. He was one of the Big Sky Conference leaders in interceptions and tied cornerback Jimmy Wilson for the second most on the team with three.

2005: He played in all 12 games. He was moved from wide receiver to cornerback last fall, and then moved back to corner again in the spring. He played both ways against Eastern Washington and had two receptions, along with two tackles and a forced fumble.

2004: He saw action as a “true” freshman, playing in seven games.

High school: A three-sport athlete, he lettered three times in football, basketball, and track at Renton High School...a second team all-state pick in football as a senior...voted team MVP in football as a senior...an all-conference selection at quarterback as a junior and senior...voted his conference's “Defensive Back of the Year” following his senior season...was team captain in football and track his junior and senior years...chosen MVP in track twice...voted “Most Inspirational” in football and basketball as a junior...his high school football coach was Terry Metcalf.

Career highs: He had six tackles at Weber State in 2006. He had a game-ending interception at Portland State last season. His long kickoff return of 24 yards and his long punt return of 25 yards were both at PSU in ‘06.
