Most Surprising Result: (#14) Southern Illinois 23, Missouri St. 17 - After the Bears scored 10 points in the last 5 minutes to tie the game, Saluki QB Chris Dieker threw a 51 yard TD pass to Marc Cheatham as time expired to help the Salukis overcome 5 turnovers.

    Overall: 18-16

Best Performance: (#24) Lafayette 48, Fordham 13 - Leopards rack up 322 rushing yards & thoroughly dismantle the preseason Patriot League faves.

Worst Performance: Georgetown 0, (#9) Richmond 48 - Combined stats for 3 Hoya quarterbacks: 4-11, 1 pick, 8 yards. They ended up with 2 yards after factoring in rushing.

Most Surprising Result: Delaware St. 3, Morgan St. 20 - I guess it doesn't matter who the Hornets put under center, they still can't pass. Vashon Winton & Anthony Glaud combined to go 5-15 for 31 yards and 3 picks; that's a 10.7 efficiency rating.

SoCon

GSU 38-31 WCU (OT)
