Stangel did a good job given what he was up against, though. Didn't throw for a whole bunch, but didn't turn it over either.

I'm not sure there was even a dropoff considering how average Herrick has been this season.

Yeah, and no drop off from Roper to Johnson, either...


Many throws Herrick would have made that Stangel didn't. He played well, but not as good as Herrick.

I'm still trying to figure out why the coaching staff burned Johnson's redshirt though. He could have had 4, potentially incredible years.

I'm guessing it's either that Zapata is hurt or the coaches think Johnson is better right now so they needed him to be the backup.

I think Larson is capable of running an offense if Roper were to go down. Between him and Kemp that could be the Wild Bear from hell.
