Tyler Arndt, QB, 6'4", 205, Cuero, Texas (Cuero High School)
Ranked among the Top 32 quarterbacks in the nation by ESPN...named All-District 28-3A and District MVP as a junior and senior...chosen All-Area First-Team and All State Third-Team in 2008...Named All-State First-Team in 2009...led Cuero to a 13-1 record as a senior with the lone loss coming in the State semifinals under head coach Mark Reeve... finished his high school career passing for 7,100 yards and 75 touchdowns...completed 154 of his 251 passes for 2,362 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior...completed 134 of 212 passes for 2,210 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2008...completed 67 percent of his passes for 2,400 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2007...led Cuero to a three-year record of 36-5...also earned All-State honors as an outfielder for Cuero's baseball team .. also earned All-District and All-Area recognition in baseball...major at Texas State will be business... is the son of Nancy and Michael Arndt...chose to attend Texas State after being recruited by Houston, Vanderbilt, Missouri, TCU, Virginia, Arizona and Purdue.

North Dakota State head football coach Craig Bohl announced the signing of 22 high school athletes and three junior college players to national letters of intent Wednesday.

The list includes players from 10 different states including North Dakota (4), Minnesota (8), Wisconsin (3), Nebraska (3), South Dakota (2), Texas (1), Iowa (1), Illinois (1), California (1) and Utah (1).

There are 11 offensive players and 14 defensive players.

Great time of year when every team in the nation has the best recruiting class. I'd say NDSU did pretty well though considering going 3-8. Getting the MN Mr. Football in WR Zach Vraa, and one of Rivals.com top 10 players for MN as well in OL Billy Turner.

Rumor has it that we didn't have a scholly after we got the commit by Arndt and Kirpes became the odd man out. More speculation is that he has been given the option to greyshirt or walk-on. Kinda sucks for the kid (and us really). He was being loooked at and offered by Michigan but they pulled their offer over the summer.

Just have to see what happens (and what the actual situation is.)

Helped Angleton High School finish with a record of 12-2 in 2009 under coach Finis Vanover...earned All-District 24-4A Second Team honors in 2009 after being named an Honorable Mention selection as a junior...rushed for 688 yards in 2009... two-time All-State selection in track after helping Angleton win District 24 championship in the 4x100m and 4x200m relays...the 4x100m relay team was state champions in 2009...plans to major in sports management at Texas State...son of Clem and Alice Franks...his relatives include current Orlando Magic forward Rashard Lewis, current Tennessee Titan fullback Ahmard Hall, former Texas A&M cornerback Arkeith Brown and former Baylor standout guard and Harlem Globetrotter Andre Branch...signed with Texas State after being recruited by Northwestern State, UTSA, Utah State, Montana, UTEP and Lamar.

This is the first time in my memory that we were recruiting against Montana for a really good prospect. Anyone think of any other(s) in recent years?

Ok, so here goes. He could not send his LOI because all our schollies were taken. He would have to greyshirt or walk-on. He, therefore, could not sign and send a LOI without taking the greyshirt (NCAA rules) So, we have 2 seniors that will graduate in Dec. and we will give him one of those scholarships in Jan 2011. He will pay for his first semester and be a walk-on in the fall of 2010. So he is "unoffically" a part of the signing class.

Regarding our 2 frosh QBs from Texas, Henry Hunter (Sachse) and Jace Edwards (Midland Lee)... would like to know any Texan opinions on these guys... I havent read too much about them but they seem impressive from what I have come across.
