September 12, 2009 was the day I stopped giving a shit. I will show up, cheer, send them my money, but win or lose, my life will go on. When Western Carolina's administration starts giving a shit, then that is when I will start giving a shit again. Since the death of Bob Waters in 1989, the elitists brain trust have dismissed football to the point that every team in the SoCon passed us in terms of recruiting budgets, stadium upgrades, etc, etc. The one decent coach to come along in that time frame was shown the door because of something he had no control over. This was followed up by the administration hiring a former Waters assistant with NO head coaching experience who inherited a team with 18 starters returning and instead of playing to his kids strengths, he changes every scheme to what he wanted to run, nevermind it not being suited to his talent. 6 years, 25 different assistant coaches later, less giving, he gets run off. The new sheriff comes in looking like the bully down the block and promptly runs off half of the team, insisting things are gonna be done HIS WAY. Fine with that, 3-9, repeats the same process to the point that we have 48 freshmen or RS freshmen on roster, 12 seniors only, no depth and now some grumblings from former alumni and players who are put off by the attitude of the new sheriff and his deputies. Ahh..............what bliss it is to be WCU supporter.

We would not even win the Big South in 2009 and would probably finish in the bottom half of the D2 South Atlantic Conference. It will get no better until the administration is ran out of Cullowhee. Needless to say, football season could end tomorrow for me and I would be fine with it. Carry on.
