Sun Belt is 17-15 since 2011.
And, I have a feeling one Sun Belt team in particular is about to put anther whoopin' on a CUSA team this weekend.

It was not relevant to either of us prior to 2014.Skjellyfetti wrote:Ah, why start in 2014?CAA Flagship wrote: Conference USA. You remember. That's the conference that has gone 10-1 against the Sun Belt in head-to-head games since the beginning of the 2014 season.

And besides, many SB teams back then are now in CUSA.

That's my point. UMass and Kent State aren't quite exactly top draws. We've reached out to most of CUSA, but nobody wants to come out and play.Skjellyfetti wrote:With your home slate for the foreseeable future... it doesn't seem like anyone calls you back.Baldy wrote: Sorry, I can't recall. Hell, I'd even settle for a 2 for 1 with ECU.

Is South Alabama for real, or is Mississippi State overrated?

Damn, that sucks. Our earliest opening is 2019, and we could do a road game that year.Baldy wrote:That's my point. UMass and Kent State aren't quite exactly top draws. We've reached out to most of CUSA, but nobody wants to come out and play.Skjellyfetti wrote:

But I think the ACC is going to a 9 game conference schedule. That could screw up our future schedule quite a bit (while we rake in money from them breaking the contracts).

Good question. We beat USA 55-17 last season, and they were a Sr laden team with lots of UAB leftovers.Ivytalk wrote:Is South Alabama for real, or is Mississippi State overrated?
Either they brought in some pretty good ballers or Miss Stake really laid a turd. I guess we'll find out Saturday night.

CUSA is basically another Sun Belt nowadays.

Hey, btw, it's Wednesday night and I don't see any Funbelt, MACtion, or CUSA games on the ESPN family. Is there not a Div I-AAA conference game on tonight? What gives?

The world is getting ready for the battle in Boone on Saturday. Appy will wear all white in their first ever white-out. Old Dominion will counter in all black.93henfan wrote:SHOTS FIRED!!!JohnStOnge wrote:CUSA is basically another Sun Belt nowadays.

Qualifier: Old Dominion will have to find Boone in order to play the game. It doesn't appear on most maps. Hell, I'm not sure what state it's in. It could be close to bandl for all I know.
Re: Sun Belt Thread 2017
Appy State is going to beat ODU so badly that I advise you to continue getting all your shots in now.
I would make Appy jokes, but inevitably, somebody will post a YouTube video of a drunk UD student (undoubtedly a Guido from Jersey) pissing all over himself and his car in the Chatty parking lot. They think it makes us mad.

Delaware has gone down the shitter as a program. Or, slowly trickling down the piss wall. Taking shots at Delaware is like making fun of the crippled kid and I would feel terrible.

Re: Sun Belt Thread 2017
Yes, we've been saying that for three or four years now, but I'm not sure what that has to do with a Funbelt! thread. This thread is dedicated strictly to shitty, nonplayoff programs shelling out tens of millions for the distinct privilege of playing in obscure FBS conferences. Fuck yeah party!Skjellyfetti wrote:Delaware has gone down the shitter as a program. Or, slowly trickling down the piss wall. Georgia struggling with Nicholls State.Skjellyfetti wrote:Tennessee will be fine.Pwns wrote: Every Power 5 league took a loss to a non-P5 team this week. Obviously Tennessee is not quite as good as advertised, but UGA and Texas A&M look like they could pick up the slack.
Will still win the East and finish top 10, imo.
Not Georgia.
10-7 in 3rd Quarter.
Chubb 9 carries for 17 yards in the first half.
Struggling with App State is more of a quality struggle than Nicholls State.
