He was off on mass TV by 25+ years, and he had the wrong POTUS by 4 years, who wasn’t even in office till 1933.

The equivalents:
-When President Roosevelt did a fireside radio chat about the 1898 Spanish-American War. (McKinley was POTUS and radio wasn’t in mass use till the 1920s..

As an aside, FDR’s recorded speeches, some of which IIRC later on included video were powerful and populist (in the original sense of the word).
