Jessie Smullet, or something like that

Post by JoltinJoe »

I never heard of the guy before I read about the story about the assault on him. Now I have heard of him. I guess that was the point.

So I first saw this story on the Facebook wall of one of my progressive law school friends. She expressed her outrage over this hate crime.

I left a comment saying this was awful, if true, but a lot about the story seemed suspicious. I was trying to be vague, but I was immediately called out by a progressive tidal wave telling me that I was just a privileged white male too blinded by my own privilege to understand the plight of the underprivileged. I thought about saying this guy was hardly underprivileged at this point, but I bit my tongue and just said I don't understand how his attackers could get a noose around his neck, and then he got away. Once a noose is on your neck, you're literally seconds away from being completely incapacitated. I bowed out after another tidal wave of name calling ensued.

There is no point in revisiting that thread to say, "I WAS RIGHT!" So I'll do it here.

I’ve noticed that some of our own progressives, who on Facebook were “hair on fire” that anyone who would question Jussie were anti-Americans and should leave the country, have gone totally silent...

I chuckled yesterday when Caramel Harris, when asked about the changes in reporting (going from a definite hate crime to now a hoax) said she would having nothing to say until more details were released by law enforcement...yet on the day after the original report, she said
This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate.

What amazes me about this story is the alarming realization that it brings forward...
That a HUGE percentage of our fellow black Americans do not realize
that this country (flaws and all) is just about the best place they could possibly be on planet earth

There is no other place... No other "real" place
Where our fellow black Americans have as much opportunity

This ^ does not excuse racism
but if you can't make it here - you ain't got nowhere else better - so make it work

I challenge any black sociologist / activist to point out a better place ?

I don’t know why this Smollett guy is getting so much attention... he’s just one of many hate crimes fakers ....

If they would publicize these more, people might get the message that the cops aren’t stupid

Putting aside the waste of police resources -

Does anyone believe that if the police actually arrested someone in any of these fake cases... that the person who made it up would come clean? Or would they let innocent people suffer?

That’s a rhetorical question btw

If the Jews had only known that killing Jesus was going to have them sitting behind Rosa Parks in the bus for eternity.

I’d never heard of this Mullet guy either before this. Just like the MAGA hat wearing kids, anytime the MSM reports on an alledged transgression by anyone on the right, it’s likely fake news. The bigger the outcry on the left, the more fake the story is..

Ayone with critical thinking skills saw that there was something suspicious about his claim.

1) Being at Subway at 2AM
2) 2 MAGA hat wearing white men, in the dead of night, knowing who he is and that he's gay and that he's in town.
3) Having the noose and bleach on hand
4) Jessie still having the noose on him when the police arrived
5) Jessie's refusal to turn over phone records
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17
