Warren... Everything we need in politics

Post by Chizzang »

She just dropped a bomb...
https://www.commondreams.org/news/2019/ ... fetime-ban

""ZTE is a giant foreign telecom company that's close with the Chinese government. They've violated serious U.S. sanctions on Iran and North Korea. Their lobbyists keep blocking accountability. And today former Senator Joe Lieberman joined them. Should that be legal? No," Warren declared on Twitter.

"Corruption in Washington isn't about a single president or political party. It runs deep," the Massachusetts senator added. "We should call it out—and we should pass my sweeping anti-corruption reforms to clamp down on all the ways giant companies drown govt in money to get their way."

"We need a lifetime ban on Members of Congress working as lobbyists to make sure they only serve the public. We need a ban on foreign lobbying so countries like China, Russia and Saudi Arabia have to conduct their foreign policy out in the open. I've proposed both..."

Warren had quite a few good intentions. The problem with most of them is that they go too far. If she stopped at the 75-85% mark, there would be a lot of support for her proposals. But Moonbatshitcraziness.

I’ve always thought there should be a law banning Congressmen from exempting themselves from all the shitty legislation they impose on the rest of us.

and has been for decades

Right in their Mission Statement they say they provide lobbying services

He said "not now or ever". That doesn't include, "starting tomorrow".

His response was awesome, btw. Fucking burned her.

And I can't place my finger on what it is exactly, but Gowdy just reminds me of a South Park character or at least a Stone and Parker marionette.

His burn would carry a lot more weight if he weren't lying through his teeth. Not surprised to see Baldy licking his nuts, though.

If Gowdy’s lobbying it would be easily verifiable..

He’s also not known for lying

Maybe Warren has a moment like Jelly did that time when he tried to tell me that I’m a union employee because AFSA calls itself a union

Yeah, except that you never heard of them before Gowdy went to work there. Nelson Mullins is a law firm, period. Kinda like Tesla makes solar panels, but is really known for making cars.

I've had to deal with Nelson Mullins or more than one occasion, and I can promise you it wasn't for lobbying purposes. They are one of the few firms out there who actually employs attorneys who know something about administrative law.

She is correct but its too soon to call her the kind of threat to the Democrat establishment that Bernie obviously was before the last donk primary.

Obvious to me anyway.

I can see where he'd rather work for them than get punked by Hillary over Benghazi.

Nowhere close. She's trying WAY to hard and coming across as fake. More importantly, she only checks one box: woman

BTW I wonder which of the 50 Dem hopefuls dredged up the sex harassment stuff on Bernie's campaign?

Its already June 2020 if you're a Dem pretender to the throne
