Regardless, BDK was disingenuous with that post. There are several articles of the same ilk including this one from Matt Welch at Reason http://time.com/4121126/bernie-sanders- ... socialism/ which are kind enough to admit in the headline that the quotes are from decades ago rather than BDK's boogeyman tactics.

Has Bernie softened his views on economics or is he lying to get votes and if elected will push us off the marxist cliff? Debatable (and Welch does a good job as usual arguing the free market side) but at least it should be an honest debate that makes an attempt to avoid the pinko-commie dismissals.

http://time.com/4121126/bernie-sanders- ... socialism/

I just don't see a huge difference in wielding the anti-commie sword versus wielding the anti-feudalism sword. We're a mixed market economy and we're really just arguing degrees of economic regulation.

I've been seeing video of Beto in a UNI hat today with the Panther logo on it. Haven't been able to find a pic on line yet. But he's been doing it.

EDIT: I think he's got it on in this picture but you can't see it real well:

Yes he was in Cedar Falls campaigning for a local D running in a special election for state senate. He probably doesn't even know what UNI stands for.

Nice pictures. But again: If there is derangement associated with Trump it is not on the part of people like me. It is on the part of people who support him.

Yes....much like Trump did!

Beto is the Dem version of Trump.....which means that he will be very popular and in it until the end. I think that he has zero chance of beating Trump but he plays a role in all off this until a certain point. :thumb:

https://www.cnn.com/election/2018/exit- ... xas/senate

The 18 through 24 age group is pretty much going to be Generation Z. Most 18 year olds would've been borne in 2000 and 24 year olds would've been borne in 1994. Recall that Generation Z consists of people borne from the mid 1990s through the early 2000s.

The estimate is that 18 through 24 year olds in Texas voted for the Democrat, O'Rourke over the Republican, C r u z, by 68% to 32%.
That vote means literally nothing, and if you knew anything about Texas politics you’d know that. There were literally hundreds of thousands of votes cast AGAINST Cruz rather than for O’Rourke.
Be careful. Many people voted against HRC rather than for Trump in 2016.

CNN has already made it about his race. He has no chance. The democrats are making it about race and not the quality of the candidate.

If it's about the quality of the candidate then Beto is DOA.

And that's fine. But the Democrat Party, right out the gate, has made it about the color of skin and not the content of his character.

They did it again this morning with Gov. Delaney (D).

It will all come out in the wash. What did Republicans do about Trump back in those early days of his announcement?
