Would you like to know one of the main issues with the Democratic Party? It's because of their identity politics, that they've failed to develop a deep bench. They have no depth unlike the Republicans. That's why. In 2012 and 2016, The Dems ran an incumbent and 2 old white people whereas the Republicans had young, old, white, black, uber wealthy, middle class (Rubio), candidates that people wanted to hear from. People from Boomers to Gen X.

Who does the Democratic Party have, with broad national appeal, under the age of 60? OR 50?

I'm not saying the GOP is better or has the answers (they don't) but they talent deep in the State Houses, State Legislatures and in Congress. A better depth chart than the Democrats.

The first Cert I had to get was the WiSE Ruckus Enterprise Networking Certificate
and Now I'm just trying to finish the Network Engineer Standards test

Certs are the way to go. Networking still is over my head when people start talking about. I'm studying for CRISC right now, and even though I've been doing most of this stuff for almost 10 years, there are things that are new to me. I've got things like PMP, LSS and SCRUM but i'm having to get actual certs in Cyber Security and InfoSec now.

I don't understand why some of my peers are wasting time with a Masters degree. Certifications are 1) cheaper; 2) paid for by the company and; 3) are a true test of specific skills.

Fun Fact: My friend who is in charge of all Debit/Credit Fraud Detection for a major bank is a college drop out with loads of certifications under his belt. He makes close to $200k. It's all because he works hard and got certified.

Stock market was way down today. Hurts me personally for the time being. But hopefully we'll have a little bit of an economic disturbance to increase the odds of the Democrats taking at least one House of Congress. Disturbances happen. I'd be good for one to happen now. It'd be better for the country in the long run if it contributes to reigning in the corruption that is the Republican Party right now.

Meanwhile we really need to start pushing for automatic runoff voting to provide at least SOME chance that other parties and/or independents can gain some traction. We need for people to feel free to vote for other options without worrying about their votes being wasted.
