If you look at the detailed voting map vs. States, the area of Country Red would be quite a bit larger. Look at the map of NYS as an example.

If this happened and states had the choice.....I bet some of those states would turn surprisingly BLUE. I'm not sure that Texas, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina would choose to shoot their economies in the foot.

Texas as as red as they get. For every Hillary sticker i see 30 Trump stickers. And who are you kidding? Selling Texas oil to blue states at a marked up rate?

Texas will be fine. We even have our very own power grid.

Texas will turn blue at some point, likely in my lifetime and probably yours too.

We may one day see Texas competing with Cali as a bastion of liberalism. :twocents:

According to Liberal News Outlets like Huff Post, Texas Latino's won't be the one's turning Texas blue.

Link to Huff

Democrats hoping for Texas to turn purple might want to take a look at this poll.

While a near-majority of Texas Latinos leans Democrat, Tejanos identify with the Republican Party at a significantly higher rate than the average among Hispanics in the rest of the country, a Gallup poll released Friday said.

Some 27 percent of Texas Hispanics lean Republican, the poll said, compared to an average of 21 percent of Latinos in the rest of the country. The figure for Tejanos has shown a slight but steady increase in the past few years, climbing from 23 percent in 2008. The number for Hispanics in other states remained steady, dropping from 22 percent in 2008 to 21 percent in 2013.
