Responsible or in power?
Dems have been in control of many municipal governments and deserve some blame but what’s your point?
Did I miss the recent Republican push for increased regulation and clean water?
Yes Republicans suck on environmental issues in general but we're talking about Flint, Michigan specifically. I haven't done the reasearch but I'm guessing that conks have rarely or not at all had complete control of the Michigan governor's office and legislature. So any failure of the Michigan EPA is not solely a conk responsibility. If there was a statewide issue then Kalamazoo and other cities would also be having problems.
I'm also guessing that Flint has been controlled by donks for quite some time so they own responsibility for allowing the crisis to occur in the first place.
Yes conks own some responsibility for managing the crisis once it did rear it's ugly head but do they have primary responsibility? Was Lake Huron water the answer? I live about 20 miles from Lake Michigan and I'm on village well water. We've been asking for Lake Michigan water for a long time and it was finally approved a couple of years ago. They just started putting in the piping this year so I'm guessing we'll get it in 2020 several years after approval. Huron water might be a viable long term solution but was not immediate.
The other question is should the rest of Michigan be responsible for saving Flint from the consequences of their own mismanagement?
