How can anyone lose when it's all make-believe? No such thing as right and wrong if nobody knows.
But if god is omnipotent and lets 25k kids die daily...which side of right and wrong
Is she on? If it’s not make believe....

in the same way it's "possible" that Jesus re-appeared (again)

It's possible, it's not likely but its possible

Islam could be right - we all might really get 72 virgins
or in Mormonism we get a planet

Jesus spoke to Smith in Utah? He died at the hands of an angry mob in Illinois.

Sorry for the deflection.

Maybe these kids are transported to another world where they live a better life, or maybe He hits the reset button and they come back as a dog so they can be happy and lick their own balls all day. The possibilities are endless when we really don't know. My point is that in OUR understanding of life, death is bad (except maybe for those going through pain and suffering). But when factoring in the fairy tale, there can be many happy endings.

There's nothing afterwards. You don't go to eternal serenity or eternal damnation. You don't see your God, your parents, your children, your family, your friends...

...it's simply like the time before you were born: nothingness.

It's why I laugh at the New Atheists who say that religion is dying.

There's more than a little evidence that religiosity and political affiliation have a substantial genetic component...and all data shows the religious are out-breeding the secular and the conservative out-breeding the liberal.

You ever hear about the apparent conservative tilt Generation Z? It's worth pointing out their parents grew up when the environmental movement really took of with The Population Bomb and the first Earth Day and all that stuff.

Some religions believe in reincarnation.

As far as omnipotent, religions that use the Bible, have 10 laws to follow (God's Will to them), or not follow (human will).

The hand wringing over religion is just awesome.

Last time I checked you could walk into any gas station and buy a rubber, go to a grocery store and buy beer and wine (just not here in my county which is as Liberal as they come), go to a clinic and get an abortion, attend a gay pride parade, protest having to say the Pledge of Allegiance because it has God in it, block someone putting up a Christmas tree on government grounds... what exactly are all of you so upset about?

It is a quality of millennials. There's exceptions to every rule, my friend. The fact YOU don't exhibit that trait doesn't mean it's not a trait. To be SO young and presume you know SO much about EVERYTHING....what an absolutely awesome way to go through life.

The "dream" that logic and reason would prevail was always just an intellectuals dream
Always just a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of humanity
and they are easily dismissed as elitists

when it gets right down to it we're just frightened irrational superstitious monkeys

If humans believed math and science were the language of God
We'd have a vastly different planet
imagine a bible that bestowed the virtues of intelligence and reason
Imagine a Bible that urged us to "learn more" and speak the language of Science

instead we believe a bunch of ignorant goat herders from the Iron Age

It's so ridiculously stupid its difficult to even fathom
and yet here we are...

Right. You're apparently upset about homosexuals being equal to heterosexuals and women having control of their healthcare.
Plans in the Health Insurance Marketplace must cover contraceptive methods and counseling for all women, as prescribed by a health care provider.

Plans must cover these services without charging a copayment or coinsurance when provided by an in-network provider — even if you haven’t met your deductible.

Covered contraceptive methods
FDA-approved contraceptive methods prescribed by a woman’s doctor are covered, including:

Barrier methods, like diaphragms and sponges
Hormonal methods, like birth control pills and vaginal rings
Implanted devices, like intrauterine devices (IUDs)
Emergency contraception, like Plan B® and ella®
Sterilization procedures
Patient education and counseling

Plans aren’t required to cover drugs to induce abortions and services for male reproductive capacity, like vasectomies.
