I've always agreed with Forbes on every single point he makes here.

What's funny is a few years ago he was being interviewed about Flat Tax and the interviewer asked
"Why would a rich guy care if there's flat tax..?"

Forbes answer was awesome
it was something like:

"I already pay 15%... (long pause) why would I care if I pay 17%... (long pause) and it's the right thing to do for America..?"

Dealing with the IRS as a small business is beyond a pain in the ass. You call with a seemingly simple question or minor dispute. Depending on the wait time and IRS employee you get, that call can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 4 hours. The good ones are truly manna from heaven. The bad ones make me (ME!) sympathise with Cliven Bundy.

We'd be putting 800,000 tax preparers, IRS employees, and a few attorneys out of business. Is that really a bad thing?

It would be interesting to see which corporate taxes actually go up, if any.

If 17% can fund the government at the current level + seriously cutting into the debt, why not?
