There is nothing dangerous about Jesus...
He was a charming individual with a heart of gold
Probably the most important historical figure of all time
The danger is with "True Believers"
Those who lack the honesty to admit they don't really know - because nobody knows
Instead they insist on speaking for God
They will be the death of us all
The closer they get to the Oval Office
That should make sane people very nervous
Welp. Like I said, my connections with "religious" people are the ones that go to my church with families and kids schools. Not sure if we would qualify for the TRUE BELIEVERS you speak of. I try and limit my conversation about my beliefs to inside my head.
Always interesting getting a theology lesson from a non believer.
I'm not a "non believer"
I'm a "nobody really knows so quit acting like you do" believer...
I don't think god keeps secrets, and those that believe that God is mysterious
have never come up with even a remotely reasonable answer as to why God would be mysterious
They just use the phrase "God is mysterious" so they can retain control of the narrative
and make up whatever sh!t they want
No hidden agenda mysticism mystery or miracle - what you see is what you get
I'm a GOD LITERALIST until somebody can explain otherwise
To me it seems like the language of God is a hell of a lot closer to Mathematics and Chemistry
Than iron age barbarism and general Biblical stupidity
But everybody gets to believe whatever they want...
and they also get to pretend they know stuff they have no clue about
