Netflix Series: Trump

Post by Ibanez »

Have any of you seen this? Season 1 is 4 episodes and it covers his life up until he announced his candidacy. There are interviews with people that worked alongside, are his friends and enemies. It doesn’t really tell you anything you don’t already know- that he’s a con artist and full of crap - but it’s interesting in learning how his mind works.

A few observations:
1) the guy has daddy issues
2) I didn’t realize “make America great again” was a line from both Regan and Clinton
3) Roger Stone - this guy is either drunk, drugged or dying from some neurological disorder. He doesn’t look/act normal at all.

Haven't seen the series on Trump - but, watch "Get Me Roger Stone" if you haven't checked it out - it's great.

I've seen it and it's a pretty good series on his rise, troubles, and rise again. Trump's insecurities definitely show, but what struck me the most is how pathological he is in playing people, shifting views to whatever benefits him, conning his way into whatever he needs, and throwing anyone under the bus that gets in the way...including family (Trump may be "close" to his family, but it's not "close" as normal people define it). Of course these traits aren't unknown, but how much it extends into his past is a little scary.

Regardless, even as a young businessman, politicians had nothing on this guy's sleaziness.

And yes, Roger Stone doesn't come off as sane in "Get Me Roger Stone" and this series didn't help either.

I read somewhere that inside every gook there was an American trying to get out...
So based on that - there are a lot of Americans in the world
