Yea, I think it would drop you...

Does it really matter? If we're just talking school shootings, most of the shooting is done within 10-20 feet, if not even closer. Any gun is obviously lethal at those ranges.

Sure, there isn’t that much drop off from muzzle velocity at 100 yards. Effective handgun range is more a function of accuracy than anything. 100 yards is not a good distance to engage anyone with a handgun. LE trains out to about 50 yards

There is a difference between better security and turning a school into an armed camp.

And then you have to harden EVERY FUCKING place. Las Vegas, Schools, Churches, Theaters.

Instead of that, lets do sensible gun reform. But you fucking gun humpers value your fetish more than lives (and then claim to be "pro-life")

Turns out the shooter SHOT HIMSELF.

The armed guard shot him in the hand. The shooter could have killed or wounded many others if he had wanted to.

I don't know if he could've killed "many others" if he'd wanted to. The fact that he did shoot himself does not mean it's not possible that the officer would've stopped him. But this was not a "mass shooting" type of event in any case. They guy just wanted to kill one girl.

Define “sensible gun reform”...because we’re about 10,000 laws in, and it’s still not sensible enough for you constitution haters.

Well, to start, an "assault" weapons ban wouldn't have stopped the purchase of any of the weapons used in these mass shootings:

Virginia Tech 2007 (32 dead) - Walther P22 and Glock 19 handguns
Luby's Cafeteria 1991 (23 dead) - Glock 17 and Ruger P89 handguns
UT Austin Tower 1966 (14 dead) - Remington 700 hunting rifle
Oklahoma Post Office 1986 (14 dead) - Two M1911 handguns
Fort Hood 2009 (13 dead) - FN Five-seven handgun and S&W .357 magnum revolver
Binghamton NY 2009 (13 dead) - Two Beretta handguns
Wah Mee Club Seattle 1983 (13 dead) - Handguns
Howard Unruh Camden NJ 1949 (13 dead) - Luger pistol
Washington Navy Yard 2013 (12 dead) - Remington 870 Express shotgun and Beretta 92FS handgun
Mark Barton spree Georgia 1999 (12 dead) - Hammer, Colt M1911A1, Glock 17, H&R revolver
Umpqua Community College Oregon 2015 (9 dead) - S&W, Taurus, Hi-Point, and Glock handguns
Charleston Church shooting 2015 (9 dead) - Glock 41
Red Lake MN shooting 2005 (9 dead) - Glock 23, Ruger MK II, Remington 870
*too many more to list*

If you got off a lucky shot would a 9mm to the chest drop somebody at 100 yards?
Why wouldn't it? And why would it be a lucky shot at 100 yards?

You guys need to figure out how to stop the 4 or 5 shooters each user and leave the other 180 million gun owners alone

Thanks for fixing. So 25% of adults want no guns in schools. Appreciate you proving my point for me. Is there a thread you've already won for which you want confirmation from a trusted news source? Maybe I can return the favor. 8-)

Jon-

Plenty of people on both sides support “sensible gun reform”

But that means different things to different people

the teenage messiahs from FL have made sure that “sensible gun reform”, in most minds, lies somewhere between total 2A repeal and bans on just about anything that isn’t single shot.

In a couple years the left is going to be navel gazing over why calling people baby murderers doesn’t make people want to cross the aisle

Hmmm...another instance of an armed officer confronting gunman, and nobody killed in the school.

We're 2/2 so far since Parkland. But the Parkland officer was a coward and all cops are cowards so it just won't work, right dback??
