Most of the military bases and all of the major ports are in liberal country. They’d control the air and the sea.

With the reading of their own version of a Declaration of Independence, founders of the state of New California took the first steps to what they hope will eventually lead to statehood. CBS Sacramento reports they don't want to leave the United States, just California.

By using water whose rights (most of which) are held by the blue "old" CA state.

I love this "split CA" talk. It'll never happen, but it's always good for a laugh.

I think San Deigo would disagree, but the article didn't talk about a "New" California secession. :coffee:

Cool story, Bro, but that has got nothing to do with the conversation. This "New" Cali thingy includes San Diego County in the "proposal".

San Diego County wouldn't want anything to do with the "New California" Anyone can pluck random counties out and create a website. Pure redneck Teabag fantasy porn here.

And if they did succeed, they'd just add two more Democratic Senators to the Senate.

I saw a reference to this on the evening news the other night (yes, Sac 13 is my preferred station), but it left me confused. Does this have anything to do with the long-planned State of Jefferson, which was supposed to include counties seceding from both Cali AND Oregon?

Actually, classifying the bases as in "liberal" territory is WAY inaccurate. I would hardly classify San Diego, Oceanslime, San Clemente, Barstow, or Bridgeport as "liberal...."

There has been talk from time to time over the past 150 years about creating a State of Delmarva. If you let Pennsylvania have Wilmington and New Castle County, DE, I’m all in! :thumb:
