Ha. Good one.

1. North Dakota

Adults drinking excessively: 24.7%
Alcohol-related driving deaths: 46.7% (the highest)
Adults in fair or poor health: 13.4% (9th lowest)
Drunkest metro area: Fargo, ND-MN

The state with the highest share of adults drinking excessively is North Dakota, with nearly 25% of adults reporting binge drinking or drinking heavily. Not surprisingly, the state with the highest drinking rate also has the highest rate of alcohol-related driving deaths. A total of 46.7% of all roadway fatalities are attributable to alcohol consumption, much higher than the national share of 30%.

Drinking excessively on a regular basis is not healthy. Still, 13.4% of adults report they are in fair or poor health, despite the state’s above average obesity and smoking rates.
Have you ever been to ND? I can understand why people drink.

The first thing you do in ND, the morning after a party is look out the window and make sure your car is in the driveway. Almost everyone cruised the county looking for a party. Lot of stupid youth stories I could share. Just glad those days are over and I survived.

Not very easy to do in Iowa, too many state patrols on the highways. ;)

This was from last year, from a school district in Michigan, where a dumb secretary couldn't read the school manual.

Roseville High School officials said in a Facebook post that the reference to the U.S. flag in the dress code was an error, and should have read, "Flags shall not be worn in demeaning manner."

Of course, you aren't supposed to use the US Flag as clothing, anyways

Update on the NFL:
The NFL's tax exemption applied only to the league office and not to the teams themselves, and the office has since given up its non-profit status...

Every dollar of income that is earned in the National Football League — from game tickets, television rights fees, jersey sales and national sponsorships — is subject to tax

None of this income is shielded in a tax-exempt entity
The NFLs 32 clubs pay tax on all of these revenues...

Also:
Every other Major U.S. sport had Tax exempt League Offices
Such as the National Hockey League, the PGA Tour, and Major League Baseball...

all league offices have since converted to standard U.S. tax practices

True. The NFL is in many ways a trade association.

If we're concerned about the salaries of CEOs of tax exempt entities, what about the NFLPA and it's brethren? How much does Smith make?
