Jesus you're exasperating - I keep telling you to think big but you 're apparently under-equipped. Wether there is there there doesn't matter - and there is there there obviously. The trick is to keep this going until the election - Comey owes the Donks an October Surprise there - if you impeach Tromp the Republican Party has time to recover. The trick is to keep dripping it out until the conks have to deep six him themselves or go down in the undertow of his sinking ass. Thats some chess playing there; I think they just need to sit back and let Pelosi manage that process.
To me, if there was serious crimes committed in pursuit of the election and in the election (and I'm not including the shady financial stuff which has probably always been there for Trump, I'm talking stuff to throw an election to his favor) then it's a travesty of justice and our democracy that we're going to go a whole 4 years, and maybe more (because these things really take time dawgie says) investigating it before we bring it, and the principles in it and not just bit players, to prosecution.
The vast majority of stuff that's been indicted so far has had little to do with the election, and almost none of it to do with rigging the election. If we find out in 2020 that there's been proof of a rigged election, and we've been investigating it since before the 2016 election even happened (remember, this stuff was being looked at well in advance of Mueller even getting involved and in the spring and summer before that election even happened) then that's a stolen 4 years, cute political games aside. And if there wasn't any rigging of an election, then there's the other scary proposition of the precedent of a sitting President and his party beginning an investigation that will carry over in the administration of the next President of a different party. We all hope that Trump is just that exception and these crazy steps are just in response to a once in a lifetime development, but in the era of outrage 24/7 by the partisans on both sides, maybe this is the new normal we're establishing.
