Still don't get it. Both Clinton and Trump are morally bankrupt, and were not worth a single vote. I didn't like Trump before he ran for office or before he had a TV show. The only Christian supporters of Trump, that I know personally, do it to get a rise out of Clinton supporters.
What about the primaries? Or supporters now that Clinton's not in the picture?
I personally don't now any serious Trump supporters. I know a lot that did not like Clinton. JSO said most of the Christian votes went for Trump. Votes do not always equal support, sometimes it's hold your nose and vote. We had Jesse Ventura as a governor in Minnesota and now a Department Store Trust Fund Baby on meds. The political parties are wackadoodle right now with who the partisans give us via the primaries.

The husband of his sister (I believe) ran for governor here back in '04. I think he was a rafting guide before that.

Market still dropping like a stone. Off 11.5% from the high. Dow down to 23,533. Thanks, Obama.

I just reported what the exit polls said about White Evangelical Christians voting for Trump. And he does have support. Like this thing from http://time.com/5161349/president-trump ... veholders/.

You know, this thing about a trade war with China is something I just don't get. To me it seems obvious that it's not a good fight for an American politician to pick.

I mean, think about it. The Chinese government is totalitarian. It does not have to worry about public sentiment. So you get into a trade war and citizens of both countries start to be inconvenienced. You have two governments waiting to see who can hold out the longest. Who do you think is going to hold out the longest? The totalitarian government that does not have to worry about public sentiment or the representative government where politicians have to worry about the people being pissed off?

Oh and by the way China controls somewhere around 90% of rare earth metals production.

We will see what happens but at this point I think this is just stupid. Trump talking about this kind of thing in the campaign is the main proposed policy reason why I said it would be insane to elect him.

BTW I hope you Trump people realize how bad what he did over the past couple of days with the funding bill is. Talk about illustrating the fact that he is not qualified for the job. Someone who was qualified to be President would've been engaged throughout. We wouldn't have had a situation where Congressional leaders talked to him and came away saying he'd support the legislation and where White House staff said he'd support the legislation then all of a sudden this morning he's Tweeting that he might veto it. Then he signs it while acting like it's a big surprise to him.

That was really, really bad. I have never, in my lifetime, seen a President show incompetence to anywhere near that level.

We’re going to spend more on defense than at the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan “interventions”.

Turn in your fiscal conservative card if you still vote Republican. At least socialized health insurance and education keep the money here and provide an ROI rather than dropping bombs on goat herders for another 50 years.

From the article, it sounds like they are agreeing with his declaration of conservative policies. Doesn't mean that he's conservative by any means. If he was a democrat with liberal policies, the religious right would be all over his affairs, and crooked business practices.

Indeed...and I truly appreciate the cynicism.

Perhaps we’re hooking up the fiscal cart before the horse this time in preparation of our next adventure. Who in the administration is going to disagree with Pompeo and Bolton?

1) Trump ain't scared of no bankers. He knows how to get tough with banks.

2) That's why the Russians invaded them and it is, I think, a pretty good-sized part of why we're still in Afghanistan.

What makes you think they didn't know this about him all along? I don't see how Christian conservatives couldn't have known... it's been out there for years.

That's why I don't think they really care. And the REALLY crazy ones probably just think that God is using this sinner as his instrument. You can justify and condemn things equally, just use religion.

She said they had sex only once, at a US hotel, and she turned him down a second time. Sounded like a business arrangement that was totally devoid of passion.

Indeed. I'd be shocked if there was anyone in America that would be shocked if this happened, and with more than just one woman. Trump has always come off as a playboy, and he's gone through multiple marriages where infidelity was a major reason why the marriages didn't last. And you have the Access Hollywood video as well. People who voted for Trump did so knowing full well that he was a cad, and the voted for him anyway.

I bet you were excited to find out that both Daniels and McDougal were both told by Trump that they remind him of his daughter. Very interesting tactic/line to use.

Both women said that...independently of each other. Stormy said it in the previously recorded interview which McDougal wouldn't have been able to see.

the Religious Rights ability to play dumb is their launching point
This simply dismisses the pretense of moral high ground for good

The need to be on the "right" (righteous?) side supersedes all, regardless of the mental gymnastics required to do so. When all of my hardcore Catholic in-laws come into town next week for the kids' birthdays, I will get to witness them all doubling down on the "but Hilary/but Obamas", guaranteed.
