The Christian I live with resigned from a position on the Republican State Central Committee she worked very hard for because the Republican Party nominated Trump. And she canceled her Republican Party membership.

I recognize that behavior as being principled.

Repeat after me, John: there are no absolute truths in social science.
There are absolute truths in any area of inquiry. We may not be able to identify them with 100% certainty But in the case of any question, there is absolute truth. It's independent of what we may think about it. It's independent of what we may know about it.

Truth is not relative. Truth does not depend on what we know. Truth does not depend on our point of view. It is what it is.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth

So we didn't make America great again or drain the swamp, and we didn't get a reichtag fire followed by a nuclear apocalypse or Muslims getting put in concentration camps. How anti climactic. Almost like it's business as usual, except with a complete goofball in the white house. Who coulda seen this coming?

Very true. Eerily similar to the first weeks of the Obama run. All of my liberal friends and relatives truly believed in the messiah and how much change was going to happen. As mentioned before, I lost faith one week after he appointed Geithner.

I don’t get the whole big deal with Hope Hicks. Here’s someone who joined the Trump campaign in 2015 at the age of 26 with zero political experience. Can’t be that big of a loss for the Trump Whitehouse..
