Jesus Fucking Christ. It's not hard to keep you hands to yourself or to not steal a presenter's belongings. And why wasn't she arrested?

If liberals didn't attend there'd be like 7 people there and no one would notice or care.

I agree with this. If not for the way out of scale protest of this guy I never would've heard his name or ever even knew about him. People on the Left like to say that Trump has enabled and embolden the whackos and the Nazis and the white supremacists on the whacky part of the Right side of the political spectrum, and maybe that's true to a point, but I also think that by responding with overwhelming numbers and by trying to silence the whackos from even speaking that we've inadvertently shined a spotlight on these weird groups and have given them an audience they never had.

I remember in college at Delaware that the local KKK group across the border in Elkton would march occasionally. It showed up in the student paper, and it was basically 6-7 guys from around Elkton dressing up and marching down Main St. Thing is, no one really showed up to protest or do anything because it was just 6-7 guys from Elkton who were just out and out racists. They didn't have any power, they didn't accomplish anything with their racism, so who really cared that they were walking down the street? If it was a weekend there was either a football game to attend or 10,000 other, better things to do than worry about organizing a protest of 1,000 people to yell and scream at these 6-7 guys. They didn't matter then, and they don't matter now.

A Texas college's student newspaper is apologizing after coming under fire for running an opinion column called "Your DNA is an abomination" that accuses white people of being oppressors who “shouldn’t exist.”...

“Until then, remember this: I hate you because you shouldn’t exist,” the column adds. “You are both the dominant apparatus on the planet and the void in which all other cultures, upon meeting you, die.”

The column was written by Texas State University senior Rudy Martinez, a philosophy major who said in a past article he was one of the more than 200 people who was arrested on Jan. 20 protesting “the inauguration of proto-fascist Donald Trump.”

That's not quite accurate. Ben Shapiro can fill a 2K seat lecture hall or arena in of all places, Berkeley (or UCLA, or Madison). Filled to the brim with Conks, and still have another 2K on a waiting list outside.

University of Texas to Treat Masculinity as a 'Mental Health' Issue
The Counseling and Mental Health Center at the University of Texas at Austin recently launched a new program to help male students “take control over their gender identity and develop a healthy sense of masculinity.”

Treating masculinity as if it were a mental health crisis, “MasculinUT” is organized by the school’s counseling staff and most recently organized a poster series encouraging students to develop a “healthy model of masculinity.”

The program is predicated on a critique of so-called “restrictive masculinity.” Men, the program argues, suffer when they are told to “act like a man” or when they are encouraged to fulfill traditional gender roles, such as being “successful” or “the breadwinner.”
This is comical.
Though you might enjoy “taking care of people” or being “active,” MasculinUT warns that many of these attributes are actually dangerous, claiming that “traditional ideas of masculinity place men into rigid (or restrictive) boxes [which]... prevent them from developing their emotional maturity.

I remember when the notion that feminism wanted to destroy masculinity was considered a ridiculous strawman argument.

I'd love to hear their definition of "emotional maturity". What's the equation for that?

Michigan State University has reached a $500 million settlement with hundreds of women and girls who were sexually assaulted by sports doctor Larry Nassar in the worst sex abuse case in sports history.

The deal was announced Wednesday by Michigan State and lawyers for 332 victims.

Nassar pleaded guilty to assaulting victims with his hands under the guise of treatment. He also possessed child pornography and is serving decades in prison.

He treated campus athletes and scores of young gymnasts at his Michigan State office. He had an international reputation while working at the same time for USA Gymnastics, which trains Olympians.

Olympic gold medalists Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney say they were victims.

Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., a staunch supporter of President Trump, reportedly reviewed and rejected stories and opinion pieces written about the president in the school's student newspaper.

World Magazine, a Christian news publication, reported Monday that tensions rose between Falwell Jr. and the school newspaper, The Champion, when the Evangelical leader endorsed Trump for president in 2016.

Falwell Jr. reportedly required that editors disclose whom a columnist planned to vote for in the 2016 election.

When sports editor Joel Schmieg penned a column objecting to Trump's vulgar comments on the "Access Hollywood" tape that was released in October 2016, Falwell Jr. ordered the piece be spiked because the paper had already run one Trump column that week, World Magazine reported.

Schmieg told the publication that he posted the column on his Facebook page instead, and was warned by school staff against doing so in the future.

“I didn’t feel comfortable being told what I couldn’t write about by President Falwell," Schmieg told World Magazine.

The World Magazine report cited Falwell's objections to the student newspaper as part of a broader pattern of Liberty University leadership stifling critical pieces student journalists pursued on campus.
