Ran across the PHL tower control recording from this. Around 11:30 is when it gets interesting.

Anyway, the media keeps saying the lady who was killed was halfway sucked out of the plane via the broken window. In a rapid depressurization wouldn’t that be blown out as opposed to sucked out? As I understand it you have the higher pressurized cabin air trying to equalize with the lower pressureized outside air, in a matter of seconds blowing from the entire cabin through the one small opening with extreme force...

This is why I never eat at Waffle House at 3:25am. Two many pantless shooters.

Btw, I’m guessing it wasn’t an AR-15 since CNN doesn’t have “HE USED AN AR-15!!!” in 96 point blinking red font:

That was a later update to the article I linked. Perhaps CNN has the blinking red AR headline up by now. Surely the Hoggster will be all over it.

Penn State has decided to forbid it’s 98 year old Outdoor Club from going outdoors because it’s too dangerous.
A Penn State University spokesperson, Lisa Powers, told the Post-Gazette that the reason many of the events were deemed too dangerous was because they took place in remote locations away from cellphone service.

A risk assessment by the university was performed without talking to a single club member, and without looking at the past incident-free record of the club...

And for the 1st 75 or so years of the 98 year old club, 100% of activities took place away from cellphone service.
Problem with letting lawyers & insurance companies make decisions about risk assessment.

This version is a better one than the about 7 1/2 min one I posted above. This one is about 12 1/2 minutes. Has real time radar of WN 1380 and other aircraft, and includes the 1st about 4 min on the ground with the aircraft, Tower & rescue vehicles.

All jokes aside, even a dying goose (they say “dead” in the article but I call bullshit) will pull stunts; enough to knock a man’s teeth out and send him to shock trauma unconscious. The terror is real. This was right on Delmarva. It’s not a joking matter:

And yeah, BDK, I previously posted this. Deal with it.

Wonderful, munificent, caring government health care system is forbidding this UK couple from taking their toddler to Italy for a treatment. What's the problem when the treatment isn't at the expense of the British NHS?
