I knew about the law, but I usually don't see many people wearing shirts and buttons. It's usually lawn signs and bumper stickers, of which there were considerably less in 2016.
Did the law restrict bumper stickers? I'm not a bumper sticker fan but geesh, I thought we were allowed to put whatever we wanted on our cars.

No, they are allowed, but with Trump and Clinton running, there were a lot less to be seen.

Actually still see a few Paul Wellstone bumper stickers around.

A Darwin Award nominee, for sure...
Police in Maryland say a car blew up when a man inside lit a cigarette after spritzing himself with an aerosol body spray.

Baltimore County police spokeswoman Jennifer Peach tells The Baltimore Sun that the cigarette-and-spray combination caused "a sudden and violent expansion of the air molecules" in the car Thursday, creating a boom that pushed the roof up, shattered the front window and blew the doors open.

Check out the video. The Hot Air commentary is pedestrian but I didn't feel like un-embedding the video.

Maher is pretty spot on - really nothing most people don't really know already, but he says it well.

$60,000 is not a bad price when considering it will never be late to work or call in sick.

Yep. The show is pretty damn entertaining with some excellent guests. Just skip the opening monologue as Bill mostly sucks at stand up.

HS and college age kids living at home with mom & dad working their 1st no skill/responsibility job(s) aren’t worth, and don’t need, $15, or even $10 an hr. There’s teenagers working no skill/responsibility jobs in rural and/or poor areas of the country that might only be worth $6 or $7 an hr.

As far as the rest, if they want a guaranteed minimum income, get a skill/knowledge that will get them a job that will provide that income.

In Brazil, Thieves Steal $5 Million From A Lufthansa Plane
Sao Paulo, Brazil: A group of thieves stole $5 million in cash, which had been due to travel from Brazil to Switzerland aboard a Lufthansa jet, at a large freight airport near Sao Paulo, police said Monday.

The spectacular heist, which took place late Sunday, was completed in a matter of minutes, and authorities have yet to arrest a suspect.

The crooks entered Viracopos International Airport's freight terminal using a pickup on which they had "placed stickers mimicking the runway security company's logo," federal police said in a statement.

Hope the driver didn't get stoned and leave the truck on the street.

A Democratic state senator in Rhode Island says internet providers should ban all porn, unless you pay a $20 tax...
State Sen. Frank Ciccone has filed a bill that would allow internet service providers in Rhode Island to block online porn, requiring residents to pay a $20 fee if they want to access it.

“Everyone knows the internet can be a harmful and dangerous environment for our children,” Ciccone, D-Providence, said in a statement Tuesday. “Our kids now have easy access to materials that no child should be viewing, such as pornography and other highly offensive or disturbing material.”

“The purpose of this legislation is to first and foremost protect our children from viewing websites that could have possible detrimental effects to their psyches and developmental process,” he continued. “And I want to be clear, the intent of this bill is to require that digital blocks on this kind of material be available to parents if they so choose to use it.”
