Cruz vs Clinton is still a Clinton victory. And an experienced debater like Clinton will eat Cruz alive in any debate. Just like the "continue, Governor" moment from 2012.
Trump fights dirty, he'll sling mud for days and his IDGAF attitude would make it difficult for Clinton to prepare for.

And it's been that way all along. Not only Cruz. From the very beginning, when you look at general election polling, Trump has NEVER been indicated as a strong general election candidate. He's always been indicated as one of the weaker candidates the Republicans could field. Plus his polling against the two Democratic contenders has gotten worse over time.
