I think it kind of takes the edge of the "child molestation" angle when you read that he was 14 years old at the time and was fondling the breasts and vaginas of girls. There's no mention of the ages of the girls but the reference to "breasts" suggests he was fondling girls that were pretty close to his age (i.e., in puberty so that they were developing breasts). Of course the vaginas could've been on girls of any age.

But the bottom line is that the impression created is that he was a boy in puberty fondling girls in puberty. Now the part where some of it involved his sisters is kind of bad. But when somebody says "child molestation" the impression created is that some adult was molesting children and that's not what was going on here. And yes I know that technically if a child was molested a child was molested. One child can molest another. But some pubescent boy fondling some pubescent girl's breasts is not what comes to mind when someone says, "child molestation."

Lena Dunham apologises after critics accuse her of sexually molesting sister

Lena Dunham, the creator of the hit television series Girls, has issued an apology after being attacked in the US for passages in her recently released memoir which critics have said amount to the sexual abuse of her younger sister.
