Obama using deceptive behavior?

Post by JohnStOnge »

Believe it or not, many moons ago, I took a course on investigative interviewing and interrogation. One thing I will always remember is the part on "deceptive behavior" in responses. One manifestation of it is when someone answers a question with a question such as, "Why would you think I would do something like that?" Or they may say, "I'm not that type of person."

For example: You ask a guy if he killed his wife. He says, "Why would I kill someone I loved so much?" instead of just saying "no."

I thought about that yesterday when this situation came up:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/obama-to-fox ... up-higher/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Obama answered the question with a question. He didn't just directly answer "no" in a definite manner.

Just interesting. Obviously I just took one course on it. But if I went by that course and somebody answered a question like Obama answered that one I"d have put a peg on the probability that he was trying to decieve.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Now THAT'S a good response.

It's about time that Democrats beat Republicans at their own game.
