The election is over. There is no way to change the past. But the systemic problem with the United States population that resulted in something as absurd as Donald Trump being elected President remains. Donald Trump's election is a symptom of a deeper problem that is...yes...ongoing.

If something doesn't change we won't have to worry about Islam because we will destroy ourselves from within. The set of population characteristics that led to the election of Donald Trump...including the insistence by 10s of millions upon voting for him in spite of his obvious pathological behaviors, dishonesty, and buffoonery...are a bigger threat to our well being as a nation than Islam is.
John,
You need to seriously think about what direction we would be heading in if Hillary was elected. If you stop watching the news on a daily basis, and just look for what was actually accomplished each week, you will realize that Trump was the better option. And don't give me the "I voted for Johnson" BS, because he never had a realistic shot at winning.

Agreed

And the #1 victim is going to be conservatism

the best pathway to prosperity for these huddled masses

It's a real Elizabethan tragedy/comedy/drama all rolled into one

I didn't see many Tea Party members killing themselves when the black guy was in office...
I don't think the angry college kids will fall for it

But there's always a chance, it's worth a try

Tea Partiers aren't going to kill themselves and miss out on the possible armed conflict

(And then sh1t themselves when the food runs out)

I won't give you "I voted for Johnson" because I voted for Clinton. I did that because in the horrible scenario that developed that was the best thing to do.

The direction we're heading in now is one in which the conservative movement is being totally discredited. What's being accomplished each week is that those who are in the "squishy" middle are getting the impression that the conservative movement is a farce. They see "conservatives" lining up like cultists to support a pathological liar with the emotional maturity of a 10 year old.

The country, in the long term, would've been better off if Hillary would've won this time. The conservatives would be opposing Hillary. But they would not be in the position of being seen as supporting Trump.

I got accosted in a gas station parking lot on my way home this evening. I was at the bike, rummaging through a saddlebag to find my gloves, and I heard a voice behind me. I couldn't make out what they were saying but when I turned around it was a 20-30 something black woman on the other side of the parking lot. She was saying "I know you voted for Donald Trump motherfvcker"

She had some dude with her who wasn't saying anything but his body language indicated he was ready for me to approach them. The woman kept running her mouth, saying things like "biker motherfvcker" etc. I just smiled at her and she got more and more mouthy. Then she and her dude turned around and started walking down the street. She was still yelling a block or two away.

I can't tell if she was just being mouthy or if they were trying to goad me into a fight. Fortunately for them she decided to leave it at just being an uncivil brute. I'm starting to wonder if I need to start carrying again when I'm on the bike. I had gotten used to being in less confrontational places... like El Salvador and Nigeria.
