So you haven't been to NC.... noted

Wilmington

Boone

Charlotte (ok... Charlotte is vanilla and it sucks)

Duck

Manteo

pretty much the entire Appalachian region

The entire state is a desirable place to live - whether you are blue or red

You're getting way off track here. I have no issues with North Carolina as state, but are you going to sit here and argue that it doesn't have its fair share of jacked up truck driving asswipes?
They certainly do. There's plenty from SC as well. Coal rolling- what a ridiculous, dick waving practice.

Exactly. On the way from Norfolk, you pass the Gravedigger (the monster truck) shop on the right, then when you get to the Super Walmart, you make the left on 12 and you're in Duck.

This is where the real value-added of Tesla is going to become apparent. The big producers are going to start competing with them and we’ll see as many electric cars as gas cars in the cities in 20 years

And of course GM will get in on the action, produce an inferior (and coyote ugly) product, and then get a gov bailout

Come on John does this actually surprise you..?
Tesla represents more than just an electric car unfortunately
it represents a kind of change that frightens people - and frightened people act aggressive

Tesla Model 3 sales down 30% quarter over quarter. Oof.

Just as the production pros (VW, Ford, et al) are really getting going.

Sell.

I really like VW's plan for electrification; it's going to be a new ballgame once that platform is introduced.

That said, I don't discount Tesla. Their passenger vehicles might not survive the coming onslaught, but they have a fairly diversified product portfolio. Their tech is top-notch, they already manufacture electrical components and batteries for other companies (and not just car maker's), they're the only company with a continent-wide electrical infrastructure which could become the "standard" network everyone shares, and they're far ahead of everyone else when it comes to electrifying semi-trucks.
