TXST got one guy in - Logan Cunningham - Pole Vault

TXST T&F has been mediocre of late but got a new coach this year and improved immensely. Give us a couple years and I bet we send bunches more.

MLB Draft

TXST had 5 guys taken for the 2nd year in a row. Not too shabby.

Best thing is we had more guys drafted than UT.
First time, I believe, and I'm savoring it.

I know there's another thread but it was worth starting a new one just for the above fact.

Re: Frisco hopes to be long term Championship Host

From all reports I've heard, Round Rock is a pretty good place to stage a title game. The IWFL is headquartered there, and that is where they stage their championship weekend, complete with two title games and an all-star game. There is also a AAA baseball team stationed in Round Rock (the Express,...

Sorry, I don't agree with some of the name calling about women on the forums. That said, it's a fucking internet forum. A place where people go to vent and lash out. Right or wrong. How old is this "reporter?" If I want to call someone a dick or a cunt or a fucking idiot I had to find a pl...

Pwns wrote:After the WAC dies is it really not possible to just form a new conference of eastern FCS teams? The Sun Belt started out as NMSU, and a bunch of ex-IAA teams. Why can't it just be done again?
No, the rules have changed. FCS teams must have an invite from an existing FBS conference to move up.

The information was from an interview he did with the local sports reporter last Sunday. Geesh, give the kid a break. Like no other guy from an FCS school did an interview.

Because when they figure it all out, ie: the universities and the $$$ involved, it will kill the BCS cartel and they don't want to lose their cash cow.

Re: Most Impressive Day Ever for a McNeese Sports Team?

Yesterday McNeese's softball team first beat Oregon State 3-2 then beat #1 ranked and defending national champion Arizona State 3-1 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe. Yeah I know it's just softball but I'm thinking that's the most impressive day by any McNeese sports team in history. Only problem is...

Any of you have teams at The Texas Relays?

Just wondered because I may try to hit it up this year. It's nearly impossible to park, let alone get in on the spur of the moment.

Re: FCS Baseball 2012

RPI 58 SOS 184 Nolan has his own weird formula but the NCAA doesn't use it. NDSU has played 1 series vs a top 50 RPI and 1 against a 51-100 Those numbers will drop hard and fast when the DII and conference games come along. TXST is 16-9 with RPI 19 SOS 14 but Nolan (NPI) has us @ 48 21 of our 25 gam...

Joe Greene was the Pittsburgh Scout at our Pro Day (1 of 11 teams repped) and he liked what he saw of DJ Hall. Would hate to see Pittsburgh take him but I won't begrudge wherever he goes. Got lucky this year. Scheduled same days as UT so the Scouts went there in the morning and drove the 28 miles to...

Yeah, you're funny. Check our record vs SFA the past 10 years. You'll find we're 7-3 and haven't lost to SFA since 2006.
Even in their best (recent) years we came away with a W vs them. They've become our "we ain't gonna lose to these guys" team.

While it is good to see so many mid-majors having a great start to the 2012 season, don't get all giggly just yet. The RPIs will shake out later in the season and if you aren't playing and beating top traditonal powerhouses in your OOC, don't look forward to the post season unless you win your confe...
