Re: Virginia gun crime drops, as state's firearms sales soar
The point still remains: Since 1992 violent crime in all categories has decrease annually That means every year it's gone down since that date over 20 years ago Violent crime is on a steady decline / according to ALL FBI Reports The Heritage Foundation (Republican Think Tank) as they call themselve...

Re: Virginia gun crime drops, as state's firearms sales soar
The cost of death penalty cases is largely due to the appeals process under Federal constitutional law, not state law. All stages along the way have extra costs in every state. And I didn't vet the multiple studies performed, but the variety of sources seem quite diverse. Who knows the political na...

So then, if we have so many automatons running around looking to do harm without any forethought, would you rather be armed or unarmed? We have gone circular in this thread, so there will be no resolution. I accept that. http://www.wildsoundmovies.com/images/anchorman_agree_to_disagree.jpg

Re: Virginia gun crime drops, as state's firearms sales soar
You're giving criminals too much credit. I'm sure the threat of gun ownership has had a direct impact in some communities. But trying to generalize the impact of gun ownership on the crime rate across the entire country is impossible. Take the South Side of Chicago....most of that crime is between ...

Re: Virginia gun crime drops, as state's firearms sales soar
Being armed might alter the end-result of a crime (good enough for me in regards to gun rights), but I'm still skeptical that criminals care or even think about the fact that someone might be armed. I work with alternative students and I've seen them attack a cop armed with a baton, taser, and gun....

Pretty much right in line with the decrease in crack use. But there are also a 100 other things that can be correlated to the crime rate. Guns Drugs Economics Crack down on petty crime Availability of air conditioning Internet Porn Chizzang threw out 1992 as a turning point. Another "thing&quo...

Virginia should count all those guns bought in VA, driven up 95 and used in New York. I wonder what their crime stats would look like then? http://online.wsj.com/article/AP7bc922f09e6242deb76694d1784e076e.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In 2011, 90 percent of the 2,433 ...

Exactly. We have one of those people in City Hall now (Bloomberg). Unfortunately we can't elect him for life or I'm sure we would. Weiner will be a very very effective Mayor in continuing Bloomberg's policies. Are you not concerned that NYC has become a bit of a nanny state? I heard Bloomberg is el...

What could have possibly happened to cancel a game in late July?
Just because ODU backed out of the 2014 game? That's why contract's have buy-out clauses.

Another point - these aren't new issues. The pics are just ones that weren't released last time around......which, btw, Weiner told everyone would happen when he addressed this when it first happened. He had a lapse in judgement. We all do. I'm glad it was about whether or not to try and get some s...
