Sagarin's ratings are now "connected" and "unbiased." Of course the conference strength ratings are kind of an "average." You can see what Sagarin means by "central mean" in the discussion above the ratings. But it's very close to just the simple average. So ...

I don't think the MVFC is overrated. It's a very tough league. There are no gimmes in this league. Last Saturday was just the latest example.

If anything, the teams losing to one another just proves how tough the conference is. The best teams have competed well outside the conference as well. If anyone on this board thinks it's a breeze to walk into Fargo and win, by all means, give it your best shot. The Sycs are in first place in the V...

The MVFC went 2-2 against the FBS yesterday.
