Week 9 - Bracket Extravaganza

Here's my first bracket of the year. I apologize for not getting this out earlier in the week, but it took quite a while to compute everything since more than half of eligible FCS can still get to 7 DI wins. I normally don't rank SWAC teams, but I included Prairie View because they're 7-1 and are no...

Re: Big Sky Coaches/Media Poll

We did have 4 seniors last yr and 2 were starters. The new crew is even better! If you say so… Montana had the most talent last year, Tinks gets another chance to prove his team is good. Montana did not have the most talent last year. Good shooters, but not much athleticism. PSU, after winning it a...

Re: Big Sky Coaches/Media Poll

Prediction: WSU will NOT finish as bad as the coaches/media poll picked em: 4th & 5th. I went to the Purple & White game yesterday, we gonna be good!! I say top 2, who dares disagree? I do. Weber lost a lot of seniors from last year. Portland State seems like the best team & Montana has...

Re: NAU @ Montana

How many has he lost? All of them except for the 1997 game. Most all of the games come down to a FG or a touchdown though. NAU always poses a threat but it normally comes from the QB/WR position which it will again but they never have a front 4-7 that are as strong as this team is. It's gonna be on...

Re: Northern Arizona at Weber State Game Thread

I would like to see three Big Sky teams make the playoffs! I don't think that's going to happen. Weber will get a seed assuming they don't get upset & Montana will get in & may have a shot at a seed should they finish 11-1. However, I don't think NAU's going to make it. The Lumberjacks' who...

Final

Weber - 42
NAU -- 14

There are two constants in the Big Sky Conference:

1. Montana is always good

2. NAU always chokes

I was surprised to see that, too. I'm also surprised the Bobcats were rated that low.

They also get theirs in 2010.

Having 6 teams together for 2 years doesn't guarantee an auto-bid, it just makes a conference eligible for one.

Western QBs Dominate Passing Efficiency Stats

I was bored so I went ahead & computed the passing efficiency stats for the leading QBs through today's games. I also included QBs from transitional teams (they are not included in the official stats). 1. Jonathan Dally (CPOLY) ————— 187.1 2. Nathan Brown (UCA) —————-- 178.9 3. Cole Bergquist (U...
