Or maybe he realized that only a sucker punch on a guy likely stronger than you while wearing full pads was the only chance you had..... :coffee:

Re: Up Next: Louis CK

This is a real shame. Everyone’s favorite liberal comic is also a serial masturbator: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/11/09/arts/television/louis-ck-sexual-misconduct.html “I think the line gets crossed when you take all your clothes off and start masturbating,” Ms. Wolov said. And now we know wher...

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

I picked up one of these Keltec Sub2K Gen 2's in the spring. Shoots 9 mm and will take Glock 33 round mags. Not as smooth as the AR, but it folds in half and fits in a backpack or small range bag for easy carry. http://foxfirearms.com/2112-thickbox_default/kel-tec-sub-2000-gen-2-9mm-glock-17-mag.jpg

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

So what I'm getting out of this is that, other than the range a rifle gives you versus a handgun, a mass shooter with intent to harm could do the same damage with a handgun versus an AR. What do people use AR-15's for? Do people hunt with them or just shoot them on a range? Both. A lot of states wo...

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

Reload exactly the same. Push a button, old mag drops, insert new mag. Skilled person does this in about 2 seconds. Yes, .223 rem round is ballistically more powerful than a 9mm luger. Hence, I can hit man-size targets with my AR-15 at 500 meters all day. In Texas church and Sandy Hook, maybe 5 of ...

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

AR-15's come with 30 round magazines, while many of your full size handguns chambered in 9mm can have 17-19 rounds and some manufacturers have magazines exceeding 30 rounds in a handgun. At close range, I think he could have been more deadly with handguns in that church IMO. Is it easier to reload ...

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

So really, the range is the big difference (other than the bump stock and I know that came up in another thread)? So with the guy in Texas going into a building like that church, would he have been as deadly with just semi automatic handguns as he was with an AR-15? How do the size of magazines dif...

Re: Why are AR-15 weapons Ok?

I'm not an expert but you can pull a trigger on a shotgun or handgun as fast as a stock AR or deer rifle. For the Vegas shooter he had the addition of the bump stock as 93 said, he had more capacity in a single magazine than a handgun, and had a barrel capable of giving him more range. Just like a w...

It won't take that long IMO. We're due for some cataclysmic event, i.e. a meteor strike, supervolcano, or incurable disease. In the meantime people are living longer forcing more urban density, food supplies are struggling to keep up for developing nations, potable water is harder to come by (even i...

Re: What Can Gun Control Compromise Look Like?

An unattended gun sitting on a table will kill or wound exactly zero people 24/7/365. Unstable people who want to inflict damage will resort to throwing a pile of rocks, buy pocket knives, or rent Home Depot trucks to kill and maim. It's all about attempting to flag dangerous people with violent ten...

Re: Donna Brazille - How HRC Rigged the Nomination

Clinton worked her tail off fundraising for the DNC and DEMOCRATIC candidates while Bernie was off on his own, refusing to help out Democrats. of Course the DNC favored a DEMOCRAT. But there is no rigging primaries (conducted by the states) or caucuses (conducted by the states/local parties). Botto...

Re: How Do We Explain This Dichotomy???

Politicians are scarier without the façade of manners. That's basically what Trump is. Very well put. :thumb: I also think you have to disjoint the presidency from the business cycle. There would have to be some pretty major governmental shifts in economic policy to disrupt what is currently an up ...

What part of “The site honors 49 men from Prince George’s County who died in World War I.” don’t you and the Court understand? So you are assuming that all 49 are Christian? And it is on public land, so it doesn't matter either. What part of the Constitution do you not understand? Arlington Nationa...

IMHO you should be shaking down the former CCU coach Chadwell. Chadwell was at CSU and just took over the reigns at CCU this season while Joe Moglia is on a leave of absence. He hasn't exactly been knocking it out of the park this year, either. I know, but assuming Moglia comes back Chadwell may be...

The only SoCon team I know we could beat this year is VMI. We'd be 4-4 in the SoCon at the very best and would be sitting at home in the playoffs. And I'm supposed to have buyer's remorse? Naw. BTW, Willie Fritz just lost to FIU. Tulane is coming to the realization that just because he won at...

Turns out App @ Idaho was a good game. App down 20-0 mid third quarter, then storms back and scores 23 straight to pull off the win.
