Re: Who Wins the Northeast Conference (2015)
What in the world has happened to them? They used to be at or near the top of the NEC. Not sure - but huge decline Not sure either. First, the program snuck up on a lot of teams after being an awful non-scholly program. We had some great offensive lines and very talented tailbacks that controlled s...

Re: Biggest Discrepancy In Conference Facilities
Now that I don't have to say that Albany has the worst field in the Northeast Conference, the league's schools are pretty close. Agreed, and while it is nothing to brag about CCSU's facility is probably the league's best. It is still relatively small - seating just 5,000 - but there is ample room f...

Re: Wagner @ EWU - The Christmas Game
Also, let's not forget just 2 seasons ago Robert Morris put up a hell of a game at North Dakota State in the playoffs.
RMU was down only 20-17 with 12:05 left in the game. NDSU pulled away in the final 8 minutes due to the depth and talent of that team.

Re: Wagner @ EWU - The Christmas Game
We'll see. Wagner has a solid defense. They rolled us 30-0 and we had a darn good team this year. I think some of that game was an abhoration, but Wagner played pretty darn good today as well. The Big Sky is a whole different level than the NEC and the Patriot. It won't be close for more than the 1...

So why was Maine ranked at this point? I forgot, Albay will only be "very good" when they wear the CAA patch on the uniforms.93henfan wrote:Maine is not very good this year.
Thank you for the input.
UA fans should have a great deal of fun with you UD fans once you are both in the CAA.

Re: Newsday: Stony Brook and Albany to CAA next week
Yeah, CCSU (and Duquesne like the article talks about) are not on the CAA's radar for anything. There are some in the conference that aren't happy that Albany is joining with their low attendance history, but at least they have a new stadium to increase excitement. CCSU and Duquesne draw even less ...

Re: If the CAA loses VCU & GMU who do they add to get back t
Maine is way out of the way and is struggling w/ fb. UNH could but they already have their best sport. If they took SB and Albany they'd still have UNH and Maine fb . AEC would be down to 7. They could invite 1-3 NEC members. If for some reason they said no, then NJIT puts them back at 8. So in no ...

Re: If the CAA loses VCU & GMU who do they add to get back t
Tough to predict the future on this one. UMass was close to dropping football then they go I-A. GMU and VCU have both thought about introducing football. Would the CAA invite them back in after leaving? Richmond kinda snuck back into the CAA through the Yankee/A10 door. IF the CAA wants to keep tea...

Yeah, I'm not sure what the official number will be. The current stadium side seats only 3,200 however I don't think that includes any of the temporary belachers in both endzones. I think the new side will add about 2,500, bringing the unoffical seating total to about 6k or more. Here's a very crapp...

Re: NEC OOC 2012 Schedules
Wow! SFPA got a 2 for 1? That is absolutly crazy! I can't imagine JMU ever returns that game. I was a little suprised that CCSU signed up for a 2-game deal at JMU (2011, 2013) only because we usally do 1-year $$ games. I would never expect JMU to agree to a return game at CCSU, despite the fact we w...

Scorebaord is very nice, but a few minor complaints. They don't keep the score down/distance, time on the board at ALL TIMES. Its a great video board, but the lack of secondary scoreboards is odd. Re: CCSU @ JMU: Home opener for the new crown jewel of FCS!
Yes CCSU has earned respect. I can't argue with forced TOs as far as the 3 fumbles because I don't have tape to go look at. But as far as the 2 INTs, Thorpe wasn't pressured on either one. No one "forced" him to throw shi**y passes (as I recall one was a relatively easy pick for the db, t...

Towson could really be turning the corner this year ... I'm happy for them ... they need a good year to get that fan base going. After JMU's game yesterday ... Re: CCSU @ JMU: Home opener for the new crown jewel of FCS!
Great stadium - great game. JMU by far had the better team - more speed, size, and depth. That said, I think it is easy to see CCSU isn't too far behind - we have a hell of a program. I would hope by now we've earned some national respect as a program. Our D played great and FORCED turnovers. We ear...

Of course it is a popularity contest. How else can anyone explain the 39 points for Old Dominion.
