Re: Griz Suffering Major Personnel Losses

Around 10 players from last season are now gone from the Montana roster. Departures under a new regime are hardly uncommon, but the talent level of some of these departing players is alarming: 1. CB Markell Sanders - Sanders was to be UM's one returning starter at corner, but he bolted in December....

Re: Big Sky Power Rankings 9-18

This has certainly been a crazy start to the season in the Big Sky. Teams start looking good, then go bad. Teams that are supposed to be good look bad, then bounce back. Teams that are usually bad end up good. I've been doing these rankings since 2004 and I can't recall a weird start to the season ...

Re: Very Early Big Sky predictions

Did you watch last year's game? That's a hell of a gap to close in one year.   Like I said before, it's a 50/50 game, one that Montana can win just as easliy as lose, Home field helps in a lot of ways, Montana fans should know this more than most. And yes, I can say that I watched p...

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread

I think UNC is the second most improved team - behind the Vikes. Even with a weak schedule they were predicted to finish last. We had a lot of young players get significant playing time this season and I believe UNC's future is bright!

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread

A two year extension is not that long, coaches need time, especially when they have been down as long as ISU and UNC have. Mike Kramer was given a three year extension in 2014 having gone 9-31 in the previous three and a half years. Losses leading to heavy turnover and APR problems haunted ISU. Mor...

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread

This is just my opinion, but if he doesn't beat the Griz and make a strong run in the playoffs, I could see his job being in jeopardy. He has gotten extensions the past couple contracts and he didn't get one yet. If he did leave. They would probably do a national search and Kane, along with Cramsey,...

Re: Big Sky Standings/Player Prediction Thread

He's got a while before that happens. I think there will be a vacancy in Greeley before Ash is gone in Bozeman. No doubt he would rather be w/ MSU though. Ashes contract ends in June '16. But how high is the bar? The Bobcats consistently win, but not in the playoffs. Do you think that will keep him...

You think Laone will be head coach material some day? I'm hoping and praying that the day UNC fires Collins, he will get a phone call for an interview. Would love to see him be the head coach in Greeley. Yes. The day after Ash retires. He's got a while before that happens. I think there will be a v...

MSU's D got better the day they promoted Kane Ioane to D.Coord. They won't be great. They could be good(BSC standards), but they won't be worse than last year. Re: UNC Bears - New Logo

Someone on our own message board made a good point that the old logo looks more like a grizzly bear. We aren't the grizzly bears, we're just the "Bears." So, a more generic looking Bear makes more sense. Also, we're going back to UNC on our helmets rather than NC. That is a good move. :not...

Re: UNC at #2 EWU Game Thread

Honestly I don't think we have one player, maybe besides Dominick Sierra (our outside LB) that could start for the Eagles. We're not even close to EWU, UM, MSU's level right now. Granted, anything could happen in todays game. Yep, I figured the Bears would come to play today, and they did. Our offe...

Re: UNC at #2 EWU Game Thread

it's most likely not going to be a great game. Who's really anticipating this matchup? I think it will be an interesting game. Interesting for us, because we are without the front-runner for the Payton Award and have a backup QB starting only his second game. UNC has a lot of takeaways... Honestly ...

UNC's 3rd string QB is probably starting, because the first two are injured. That being said, he's a pretty decent player. I say UNC by 7.

The rest of the winners: MSU, ISU, Cal Poly, PSU.

Just found out UNC has a transfer defensive end from Western Michigan, and his name is Mikhail Dubose. He's a 3 star prep from Chicago. He played in 11 games last year at W. Michigan and made two starts as a freshman. http://www.wmubroncos.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4600&ATCLID=205372441&quo...

Every year is going to be UNC's breakout year. Two years ago you were 5-6 and thought you'd turned the corner. Last year? 1-11. If UNC has 4 wins this year it'll be an effin' miracle. And Beardown/BSB/etc is always the most delusional homer about it. I didn't necessarily say we will have a br...

Re: Big Sky Predictions/Analysis

I think UNC has enough talent to get to .500. That's IF our young talent develops. The QB position is an interesting one. Seth Lobato was a good QB for the Bears but he was completely one dimensional, and he was no threat to tuck the ball in and run. All defenses had to do is put their db's back and...

Thanks to a recent SCOTUS ruling, an atheist is going to lead the invocation at a town meeting in New York. A hypothetical question… Would you be ok with an atheist, wiccan, satanist, or muslim occasionally leading a daily prayer at your kid's school? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/15/atheis...

Now Northern Colorado's Jaime White is gone, leaving for Fresno State.
