Re: CAA Week 3 Prediction Thread
? is, who wins the sucks worse award in the CAA this week? -Albany, for allowing URI to not only break URI's 15 game losing streak, but also doing it at home, on their new stadium opener no less. Albany coming from the NEC, which allowed 38 schollies last season, 40 this season) and URI was set to ...

Re: CAA Week 3 Prediction Thread
Best worst Albany game I've ever seen. Stadium was packed. They won't announce actual attendance behond a sell-out f the official capacity for some reason, but they estimated 11,000. Stadium seats 8500. They turned a significant amount of people away too. Horrendous game though. Bad all the way arou...

Re: CAA Power Rankings
I'm not sure Nova deserves the beating they're taking after the Fordham loss. Fordham is a pretty darn good team this year. And don't forget, they're not really built on the PL mold anymore. They're full scholarship. They should, IMO, be in the CAA for football. Do we have to wait for them to get t...

Something looks off with that pressbox/upper deck. Looks cheap, or wierd or something. They could have picked a better looking structure. Why not throw some endzone seating in there? It is college fb right? Glad they did get a new stadium tho. EWU def needs a east side renovation. :coffee: It's not...

Some local articles starting to come down. Great Danes' new home sets the table (with interviews from Delaware's home opener tailgate) - any CS'ers quoted? http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Great-Danes-new-home-sets-the-table-4807351.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Stadium is basically done, lest some final finish work.
The team used it for part of practice yesterday and to celebrate Coach Ford's 76th birthday.

It is a stark difference to see a community that really embraces something like this though.
Tons of comments from people complaining that 30,000 is too small.
We fought like hell to build 9,000.

Ed Delaney, father of a former Albany player (Eddie Delaney) is the #2 in charge at F1S. He was a huge reason for the success of the YES network and I think he'll do great things for F1S.

The youngster in Cain and Simpson both move on to the Finals in the 1500. Cain apparently ran most of the race in lane 2 staying out of trouble but running a lot of extra distance Aman runs really well in the 800 to win it all with Symmonds right behind him in 2nd. Solomon fades at the end to finis...

Well that's stretching the truth as most of his wins are D-3.... Not stretching the truth at all. He as the most wins of any Coach coaching in Division I right now. Look at the NCAA record books. Not that it matters. Even if you were to ask him, he would say - That's what happens when you stick aro...

UAlbany's Bob Ford to retire
News reports indicating that he will announce today his retirement at the end of is year.
Long expected by most of us. He's been there since 1970 and is the winningest active Coach in Division I.
Great man who has done way more than just win football games.

Re: Fatca
FATCA is a mess, but you have to remember it is not a revenue generating regime. It is an information reporting regime that has a withholding penalty for failure to comply. The intention is correct, but its a far overreach and will likely never be operationalized in its full form in most instances b...

The only thing they have is that he may have recruited other players and obstructed their investigation. Two things that I don't think they've every hung on anyone else.dbackjon wrote:It will be hard for MLB to suspend A-Rod for much longer, based on what they did to Melky Cabrera last year.
