Re: Liberty Stadium Expansion Plans

There are likely two games where we could reach 18-19,000 this year. With the stadium only seating 12,000 that puts a lot of people in temporary bleachers and on the hill. Next year, those people will be able to have actual seats.

Re: Liberty Stadium Expansion Plans

60,000 is a loooooooooooooooooooong way away. It was just to show that it was possible to be expanded to that if it were to be needed. The 30,000 mark is where it'll stay for a while.

So hey, CSU guys, any reason why your team is doing training camp in your stadium on your field and not a practice field?

Re: Big South Pre-Season Poll

Aldreakis Allen will likely be the #2 running back. If he's not, SirChauncey Holloway will be. BJ Hayes is a completely different type of back than Rashad was, but after seeing him in his second day practicing back at RB, he's going to do really well. He is fast as crap and can make people miss. He'...

Re: Big South Pre-Season Poll

Going into last year, we had lost three starters on the offensive line, three starting linebackers, both starting wide receivers, and a starting defensive lineman. All we did was replace every single one of them and go out and beat Stony Brook and Gardner-Webb by a total of 63-10. Last year everyone...

Re: Big South Pre-Season Poll

4-Liberty: I put the flames here for these reasons: only 4 starters on defense and the loss of their star QB, NFL drafted RB and their top WR. This will be a rebuilding year for the Flames. Glad you took my comments from your "Big South Conference Outlook" to heart :thumb: How can they pu...

Re: FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS?

The structure for our new scoreboard is up:

Here are pictures.

It's going to stretch out off the sides and top of the frame. The video board in the middle is 36 x 20. The scoreboard is supposed to arrive on Wednesday and will take two days to install. Should be complete by next week.

I'm not Joe, but whatever. I don't know the answer to this question right off the bat. I don't know the Jewish and Muslim faiths well enough to answer it. However, I have a friend who is studying the 12 major religions from around the world and our dean is a former Muslim. If I get the chance, I'll...

See, once again, that's the reason religion gets a bad name. What was a civil conversation has turned into name calling and 6th grade crap.

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

Hitchens, and atheists in general, cannot defend atheism at any level beyond its immediate surface appeal. That's because atheism is the easiest and laziest outlook: I cannot see it, so there is nothing to see. So all the atheist can do is heap scorn when the discussion gets beyond what is easy, wh...

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

My beliefs don't come from what I was taught in church growing up. I saw so much crap being the grandson of a preacher that were the laws of man and not the laws of God that I got frustrated with it. My beliefs come from me reading the Bible and finding out what I thought was being taught, and that'...

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

I think if Christians were to get back to showing the love of Christ then we could impact the world in a greater way than it's ever seen. Speaking specifically towards you, Jon - I don't agree with your lifestyle. In my opinion, it's a sin. However, that doesn't change the way I would act toward you...

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

The greatest single cause in atheism today is Christians. I won't deny that. All I can do as a Christian is go out and discuss these things with people who have questions. It's not my job to connect every single dot for them. It's not my job to prove that I'm right. Too many Christians are caught up...

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

There is good historical evidence that Jesus existed. What relies on faith is WHO he was. That was exactly my point. The entire Jewish faith disagrees with Christians on who Jesus was. They don't deny he existed though. I can buy someone saying they just don't see it in terms of Jesus being God or ...

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

My whole belief system is based around a Jewish Rabbi named Jesus. Jesus wasn't a Christian. He was a Jew. He was trained in Hebrew schools. He was raised in a Jewish home. The word "Christian" didn't come around until a few centuries after Jesus.

Re: THE RELIGION THREAD

There is absolutely no way that you can deny that Jesus lived. You can be skeptical about the resurrection and all of that, but just read Josephus' writings and you'll see that there was a man during that time that was a Jewish rabbi that had a large following. It's not just Christians that believe ...

That may very well be, but that doesn't mean it's legal. One of my neighbors operated a landscaping business out of his home for years. Everything was fine, until another one of my neighbors complained to the township. The business had to move because my neighborhood is not zoned for it. Sounds lik...

Re: San Diego Christians being persecuted(link)

The Bible can teach different things given different situations. That's the beauty of the book. I could teach at least five different lessons just out of the crucifixion story. Also, if you study something, and then stop, chances are you're going to forget it. Even the Jewish rabbis, who memorize ev...

Re: Liberty University kicks Democratic Club out

There's stuff coming out about what they lied about and how things really went down. They went straight to the media and when you have 18-20 year old kids getting told something by the Democratic leaders that they look up to, a lot of times they just go along with it whether it's true or not. Hopefu...

Wow. You guys fell for these kids' lies hook, lie, and sinker. At no point was the club not allowed to meet on campus. At no point did anyone say that you couldn't be a Democrat and a Christian. The club's official sponsor from the school was revoked so that they couldn't get funding from the school...

It'll be a lot more fun making videos to be played on that thing than the one we had last year. I get to play with wide screen, HD, and 720 square feet. I could have some fun with that.
